Description: This training focuses on problem solving and decision making when managing a student who presents risk behaviours. It includes practical skill development to address a broader range of behaviours and emotions.

Facilitator(s): Nicole Regush /Associate Superintendent; Caterina Kennedy/Director of Learning Support

Intended Audience: Strongly suggested for School Based Teams (K-12) who support students with risk behaviours and who have safety plans. Participants in Day 2 training must hold a current Day 1 Certificate of Completion.

Further Details: Schools in need of this training should have a team trained to support the needs of the student. To appropriately carry out Day 2 suggested techniques, schools must have more than 1 person current in Level 2 training. A team of 2 or more is required.

A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
