ERASE BULLYING TRAINING Hosted by FISA

Process: CISVA staff recertify training every two years as per Ministry guidelines. Each school sends ERASE trained staff list to Superintendent’s Office annually (Sept. 22). Updated list is due Feb. 28, 2019.

Ensuring Safe and Caring School Communities (formerly Level 1) is scheduled to be offered through an online platform. The release date is forthcoming. As of January 28, 2019, FISA BC does not have a date as to when the online version will be available.

Former Level 1 is NOT a prerequisite for Basic VTRA (Violence Threat Risk Assessment) formerly Level 2 or Basic DTA (Digital Threat Assessment).

Richmond

Training-the-Trainer Ensuring Safe and Caring School Communities (formerly Level 1). This new training will allow participants to become facilitators equipped to lead Ensuring Safe and Caring School Communities workshops. 

Participants must have taken the former Level 1 after January 2017 and must be approved by their association (ACSIBC, AMS, CIS, ISABC, SCSBC). Contact janet@fisabc.ca for more information.

*Due to high demand, FISA BC sessions are limited to 2 people per school for Basic VTRA training and 1 person per school for Basic DTA training.

What Do You Want of Me, Lord?

The Catholic Educators’ Conference (CEC) is held each year to provide an opportunity for the spiritual and professional growth of Catholic educators, for the development of Christian community, and to provide leadership in the development of a dynamic evangelistic school system.

Our two-day conference will once again be held at the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre in downtown Vancouver.
