RE: Theme Development Day – Thursday, May 24, 2018
You are invited to attend the annual CISVA Theme Development Day to reflect upon our 2018 – 2019 school year theme: “WHAT DO YOU WANT OF ME, LORD” and to begin to think about how our theme can permeate all that we do in the school year ahead.
We are pleased that Clay Imoo, Associate Director for Ministries & Outreach (RCAV) will join us this year as our speaker. Clay is married to his lovely wife Gail and together they have three awesome children: Sean, Jacob, and Kayla. He has worked for the Archdiocese of Vancouver – predominantly in youth and young ministry – for the past 15 years. As well, Clay has spoken at numerous conferences and rallies locally, nationally, and internationally. When not doing ministry, Clay enjoys spending time with his family, playing music, playing sports, writing Canucks parody songs, making cheesy YouTube videos, and writing blogs on topics such as family, faith, and his favourite hockey team. We look forward to Clay inspiring us to infuse our schools with the hope of Pope Francis’s message to youth: “Jesus looks at you and invites you to go with him. This will be possible to the extent that, even with professional guides, you will learn how to undertake a journey of discernment to discover God’s plan in your life.”
Principals are encouraged to bring another member of their staff with them – a suggestion is that you invite your ElementaryFaith Development Facilitators/Secondary Religion Department Heads and/or Campus Ministers to accompany you. Pastors are also encouraged to attend. The more people involved with planning the integration of this theme throughout our school year the better! This event will be held at:
